Trusting God

Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and shield.  I trust him with all my heart.  He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.  I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.

How I wish that I could be like David when he sings about how he trusts God with all of his heart.  It is such a struggle most times to trust God with everything.  Sure I am able to trust him with the little things, but when it comes to things like funding a mission trip, or dealing with family problems it seems like it is so much harder.  I get so frustrated and then I start to rely on my own understanding rather than falling at the feet of the Lord and asking for help.  God wants to help.  He wants to prove just how big he really is.  So many times I don't allow Him to show me because I step in and try to take control of it.  Then I really mess it all up.  I wonder when I will be willing to really trust God with all of my heart.

Really needed to hear this today!

About Me

I am a former soldier in the United States Army. I have deployed to Afghanistan once and to Iraq twice. I feel that I have been called by God to serve Him where I am and to do it joyfully. This can be hard at times. This blog is not about where the Army has taken me but what I read in Scripture and where God is taking me along my spiritual journey. I hope that you will glean information from what I write and will be blessed as God blesses me.
